The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure now has a new maintenance depot garage in McKees Mills to store various equipment, including snowplows. What’s so special about this project? The garage was constructed in the middle of January! ... "No way! How is this possible?" The building was built using insulated metal panels. This process reduces costs and allows the building to be erected in as little as a week! This can be done in the winter because our contractors only have to assemble the steel structure and attach the panels to it so that the building is ready to be heated. The garage was fully operational for the summer of 2020!

Our dear Jillian is already back in school, but we had a great two months together! We asked her a few questions about her interior design internship with us. Here’s what she had to say: , ?... It went really well, and I loved my experience. I was really able to put my skills into practice and see that I was comfortable in this profession. I could also find different strategies and approaches to get to final results that fit well with the atmosphere of the different buildings being built while taking the clients’ needs, expectations and tastes into consideration. I particularly appreciated being able to gain experience in managing my tasks in various projects at the same time and being able to see a little bit of everything that goes on in an architectural firm. There was something new every day! ? After graduation, I would like to come back to Bathurst and share my interior design expertise in the community. ----- Jillian is entering her fourth and final year of her bachelor of applied interior design, a joint program between the Université de Moncton and the CCNB - Campus de Dieppe. Good luck in your final school year from all of us here at CLADinc., Jillian!

One of our missions is to renovate the roofs of our provincial buildings, such as schools, to keep our students dry! And it’s that time of the year when we start inspecting these roofs again! Can you guess on top of which school we are?

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Jillian Friolet, our interior design intern for the summer of 2020. Jillian is currently enrolled in the bachelor of applied interior design joint program offered by the Université de Moncton and the CCNB in Dieppe. She’ll be entering her fourth year this fall. During the summer, she will help the CLAD team with the final touches on some of our projects. As part of her responsibilities, she will be contributing to real projects by ...making important choices such as picking colours and flooring. As part of her summer internship, she will also take on the design of signage for our very own office building. We're eager to see the end result! (and guessing our neighbours are also pretty curious/excited, right Websolutions.ca? ) : Our talented intern has more than one feather in her cap, as she also completed the small and medium-sized business management program at CCNB in Dieppe before pursuing interior design!
