I love being busy especially when it is painting busy. I tried my hand at apple jam and pies. Definitely not my strength. A number of you now have my gazillion remaining apples for your cooking pleasure. Here's my art update. Four large oil works in progress that were shelved over the summer to look after a number of commission pieces. Back to those works soon, I hope. But first, completing one watercolour commission to make its way out to Alberta soon and one very l...arge Christmas gift commission, yes Christmas folks....... oil painting. Can't show you that one til January. Here are some of the shelved WIP's in their current states.

These five remaining Portland Series original paintings of my initial series of eleven paintings are available for sale. 18"x24" Watercolour and ink with cold wax medium seal mounted on a black floater frame. Large framed archival prints remain available for all eleven in the series. Portland Community Hall is particularly special as the building is scheduled to be replaced.... Portland United Church is losing its beloved Rev Takouhi as she takes on her new charge at the Grace United Church in Gananoque. Gallagher House is a reminder of the beautiful Inn and Restaurant that graced Water Street for so very many years, then ravaged by fire some twenty years ago. Chandelier Tree Gallery is home of the eight chandeliers in the huge pine tree that welcome visitors and residents alike at the north entrance to Portland. It's also where my paintings can be seen and where my family lives. A seventy year old renovated home that started its existence as a 20'x30' bungalow. Skate The Lake was painted for the 2020 brochure cover of the International Portland Skate The Lake annual event.
