I don't know why I never thought of this before! Great idea! Great for keeping puppies out too!

So we were waiting for an ultrasound before we announced the breeding between Claire and Dom. Unfortunately we didn't see any puppies. We tried 2 separate days just incase her ovulation dates(confirmed by progesterone testing) were slightly off. So now we wait for her next season to come. It should be June. She came in 6 weeks early this time right while we were finishing up Dom's health testing and we couldn't let them together until I had all the test results in hand. Once ...the last test came back we took her for Progesterone testing and the numbers indicated she was 3 days post ovulation. We had Dom's sperm evaluated at the same time and it look great! They did a side by Side AI because Claire was a bit grumpy with Dom. She is boss and sometimes less submissive males won't breed bossy bitches. Sometimes Mother nature has her say and this time it wasn't meant to be. So fingers crossed all goes well on her next heat. See more

Claire is getting very good at being calm around Alex and she doesn't touch the toys! She's a good girl! We are still working on her not jumping up onto the side of the crib and playpen to check on her baby.
