The Clarenville Area Recreation Association in consultation with the Town of Clarenville has been conditionally approved for funding under the 2020 Job Creation Partnership Program or JCP Program. . The NL Job Creation Partnerships program is designed to support projects which create jobs that will provide unemployed, EI insured participants with opportunities to gain meaningful work experience. Project activities should benefit ...both the participant and the community. . We are currently accepting applications for the following positions for a 16 week placement: One (1) Foreman (Insurable Earnings Wage $13.75/hr) Two (2) Carpenters Two (2) Labor Workers . Here are the minimum requirements to be considered eligible for JCP. You Must: Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally entitled to work in Canada; Be unemployed; and Meet the definition of an insured participant as per the Employment Insurance Act (EI Act). This means you: Have a current claim for Employment Insurance (EI) benefits; or Had an unemployment benefit period that ended within the 36 months (3 years) prior to the date of requesting assistance; or Are approved by AES under Section 25 of the EI Act as an insured participant who is an active EI claimant. . SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Clarenville Area Recreation Association are now accepting applications for the following summer positions: Five (5) Recreation Maintenance Workers... One (1) Active Living Program Assistant Deadline to apply is Friday, June 26 at 4:00 p.m. Recreation Maintenance Workers Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the maintenance of several parks, playgrounds, and other recreation facilities/green spaces throughout town. Mowing grass, picking up trash, painting, and much more. Experience in operating yard care equipment is an asset. Wage: $11.65 per hour Duration: 8 weeks, 35 hours per week Active Living Program Assistant Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Active Living Coordinator in developing and implementing active living programs for all ages. First Aid is required. High Five-Principles of Healthy Childhood Development is an asset. Part time hours. Must be flexible and able to work evenings and/or weekends. Wage: $11.65 per hour Duration: 280 hours over 12-16 weeks. 15-20 hours per week. We encourage you to get out and enjoy the fresh air, but PLEASE follow these guidelines: -Walk in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE direction whenever possible. Always keep to your right. -Please respect other users and practice physical distancing whenever possible. -Follow directional signage on all trails and walkways. You can expect to see signage installed near all trail heads and heavy foot traffic areas over the next few days. -Pets MUST ALWAYS be on a leash. CARA Drop-in Curling Resumes Today CARA Drop-in Curling resumes this morning(Thursday, Jan 9) from 10:00-11:30 am. All skill levels welcome. $6 per player, wi...th your 1st sessions being FREE. Helmets are STRONGLY recommended, however there are exemption waiver available. Come on out and give it a try for yourself. HURRY HARD!!!
