Thrilled to join Minister Hussen today to announce $87M in funding from the provincial and federal governments. Child care centres, preschools & family dayhomes... play an important role in Alberta’s economic relaunch and will use this funding to continue to keep kids & staff safe, without raising fees for Alberta working parents. This means that since the beginning of the pandemic, $18M in provincial taxpayer dollars and $80M from the federal government have been invested in childcare for Albertans. A huge thank you to the Canada Place Child Care Society for having us today. Amy is such a caring and hardworking Exec Director and her parent board is so engaged and supportive.
