Great networking at the Clarington Board of Trade & Office of Economic Development Simply Social tonight. Clarington Toastmasters had a promo table and lots of people were interested in learning more! Pretty confident we'll see a few new faces in the new year!
There were over 100 people excited to hear from 7 Table Topics contestants and 7 Humour Speech Contestants representing Division E - at the Pickering Nuclear Info Centre, where the Ajax Pickering Toastmasters Club meet weekly. While Bonnie from Clarington Toastmasters didn't place in the top 3, a great effort was made and many a laugh was heard! The judges had a challenge as all contestants were amazing!
I had such a great time last night making people laugh at the Bowmanville Toastmasters location... although you have all heard me talking about 'The Dating Game' many times, my fellow club members came out to support me... and our club!! Looking forward to Saturday at District... I'm missing my hair appointment for it so I'm going to give it my all! - Bonnie
