I am so proud of these youth for speaking out and demonstrating for their rights to quality education. I noticed that not one sign was about cell phones. Well... done! I hope @fordnation is listening to these young people. Many of them are voting age...or will be soon. Looks like their votes will not be bought with empty promises or Buck a Beer. Parenting win, in this photo! I raised my daughter to stand up for her rights...she is in this peaceful demonstration, all for the right reasons.

UPDATE FEB 12: #TVDSB has decided to CLOSE all schools and administration buildings today.

Due to road conditions, all #TVDSB schools and administration buildings are CLOSED today.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THERE WILL BE NO CLASSES FOR OUR MAIN SCHOOL STUDENTS ON MONDAY FEBRUARY 4, 2019. It will remain a school day for our developmental students. Semester 2 is starting on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in all TVDSB secondary schools, as a result of transportation cancellations and exam rescheduling on Monday, February 4. Secondary students who attend special education self-contained classes will have a regular school day on Monday, February 4. Any secondary athletic events scheduled for Monday, February 4 have been postponed.
