So, you just had flowers delivered to you, now what? Here are some fresh #flowercare tips! -Keep fresh flowers away from drafts and extreme temperatures, which can quickly dry out the flowers and cause wilting. -If your flowers came in plastic, remove this as soon as possible. -Avoid placing flower arrangements in windowsills and other areas with full sun where flowers can wilt due to overheating.... -Most flowers will last longer under cool conditions. -Keep your vase filled with water! All flower and foliage stems should be submerged. Flowers stay fresher, longer when they can get a drink! -If your flowers came in a basket or other container with foam, add fresh water every day. -Immediately remove dead or wilting leaves and stems from fresh flower arrangements. -Watch your water. When it gets cloudy it’s time to change it out. See more

#plantcare How to make your house plants happy! -One of the biggest tips if you have a sad looking plant is move them to a spot that gets more light! -Using a mister or small spray bottle to add some moisture during the winter when it's especially dry indoors. Aim to try to mist a few times a week! -If you have little fruit flies a less toxic way to help get rid of them is to add a little dish washing liquid to a spray bottle and give all your plants a good spray down thi...s will help get rid of any eggs that could be in the soil or on the foliage. -Have a routine! Choose one or two days per week to check your plants and watering if needed. Most plants require weekly watering however always check the soil to ensure you're not over watering which can be just as harmful as underwatering. -If you have a fiddle leaf fig and want it to grow big & tall, to give you that high end designer look, you should give the stem a good shake at least once a week. This mimics the wind and helps your plant develop a stronger root and stem system. -If your plants seem to be growing towards a window or mostly to one side, start rotating your plants once a week. -Turning the pot around ensures all of your plant is getting an even amount of sun, this will help your plant fill out evenly. -Give them a quick bath or at the very least a nice dusting! You can even pop your plants in the tub and give them a light shower then leave them overnight to drain. This works only if your plant is in a gowers pot with holes in the bottom. It's not recommended if it's planted directly in a decorative pot with no drainage. If it is use a damp cloth and give the leaves a delicate wipe down it really makes them look refreshed! -Succulents have become such a trendy house plant, these are a fairly easy to care for and are great plants for beginners. They don't need a ton of water. They need only be watered when the soil is dry to the touch, these guys are easily overwatered so if the leaves are fat and mushy you have watered too much if they are wrinkly and shrivelled then you have not watered enough. Indoor plants are popular because they are relatively easy to take care of! They are known to provide health benefits, reduce stress levels and can be used in a variety of indoor décor themes! House plants have also become a new hobby for many as people find them therapeutic to care for while being at home more often during this pandemic! Houseplants are one solid way to spruce up any indoor space and at least create the illusion of being outdoors as we remain cooped up at home. Whether you live in a small apartment or large home, we have the perfect houseplant fit for you! Visit www.adriennesflowers.ca and view our collection of plants
