A day in the life of us !!! Everyday we must ensure we have a full kit ready to perform the work we do, we require floor pads for laminate/tile/ hardwood mainly because we never know what we will encounter and must be prepared. We must also have a dusting wand and mitt, along with surface and mirror norwex cloths and yellow general cloths for finishing and green for toilets only. Our kit also ensures we can handle any shower tile, glass or surround system with tools and hand...les to reach to the ceiling as needed and get those surfaces shining. We also have squeegees and long handled tools to clean the floors and soaker tubs with care for the surfaces and our bodies reaching and stretching to get every spot possible. It's also imperative we have a vacuum we have been trained on and know how to properly use for the best results. Many clients could and have available their vacuum but the time necessary to use or adjust to can jeopardize a clean or may ergonomically affect the staff member. All of our tools best fit and suit many and we have tools and wands that adjust to best fit the user also. We take repetitive injury serious and the weight of tools used over long durations and days. Our company ensures the staff have everything they need and taught how to use along with the care and cleaning/ sanitization necessary for best results and the health and safety concerns we have for their health and each home they serve. All of our filters are cleaned daily along with all removable parts which are cleaned daily also. All handles and tools are sprayed and sanitized also. We also will replenish and refresh all on a regular basis and monitor for wear and tear always demanding the best results in our work. End of day means alittle extra work but all so worth it to ensure the delievery of the very best we can provide in the work we do for so many homes who trust us. Having all that we need for our trade is important to us!!! We don't expect anyone to provide anything in addition to what we have in our kits. With more people working from home now I am always so nervous of wet floors now because if the floors were damp before we would let them dry and no one would be walking on them until end of day. Now as we leave people can be walking on them. I always let clients know and write notes to leave as they approach a room on the floor or on the counter or text them at departure to be safe with floors. ... Those around me see just how happy I am being so helpful and so active. I love seeing all my clients and adding value to their lives by doing what I do. Thank you everyone for being so welcoming and appreciative of my work and my company. ... While it's not easy - I have adjusted and doing what I need to see this craZiness through. Plus my kids are all older now and my home is empty during the day while mike and I stagger our shifts to accomodate everything. Life is amazing and I close my books from studying and prepare to read for another business course I am in. I am busier now than I ever have been and in many professional development courses to be the very best I can be for myself and my family. It's also refreshing to be in many global industry groups with the most uplifting business owners like myself who are doing just as I am to uplift and maintain their companies. As I set out to plan for 2021 - both things are considered and process mapped out. I consider my clients journey and experience and examine all past intake forms sent to us and try to understand all the needs, wants and priorities... Then, consider our business model and my vision along with thinking about our eco philosophy, tools and products for the type of work we want to niche !! ... Also ensure I pull and examine all the past checklists and projects we have undertaken and ponder the work my team has done and what they are capable of performing. ( love the compliment I heard yesterday about how professional, how organized and how precise our need is.) A vision and a road map to get there :) Baby steps.... And in no rush !!! I love forward thinking...but another coffee is due and my treadmill is calling my name first thing in the morning :) Time to get my littles up for home schooling too!!! Our best year yet !!! It doesn't happen just by saying it you definately have to start way before and into the new year. I am hard at work in the home office planning ( financial forecasting / SEO / marketing / content creation / mapping and researching) alot of white boarding and alot of calendar entries to ensure I have everything I need for the year. ... It makes annual planning so much easier when you have 7 years worth of the above to review and analyze and well to be nominated again in the Best residential Cleaning Category for faces magazine makes this all so worth it. Or a great motivator !!!! ( See Ottawa's Faces Magazine 2021 - housing category - Clean POV (nominee for 7 years and winner of 2019 ) But- as I said in some personal posts an award recognition is nice it doesn't even come close to sharing all the hard work the came behind it. God knows we have worked so hard this past year and I couldn't have done with out the loyal and incredibly grateful clients I got to know much closer than I would otherwise. So 2020 allowed me to get up close and personal with those who use us and understand more clearly why - why I do this and why it's such an important service !!! I end 2020 with alot of pain from loss but an immense amount of gratitude for all that I have learned and that was move forward as a better human being. Have an incredible day everyone. Patty

Also include a checklist we found on Pinterest to help with how to maintain your home on a regular schedule. Even with cleaners there are some things that just must be done between cleans- toilets, counters, taps and door knobs, floors swept and showers sprayed down after each usage. Take a peak and hope of value. Also planning December if we can throw that out there..... I'll sneak it in... Duties: perform cleaning as per site's schedule and standards, identify safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to home office and home owner, ensure clients facilities are locked and secure, able to handle requests and make decisions for the team while updating home office after clean, deliver supplies and equipment to the team as needed, perform project work and other cleaning duties, responsible for the quality check and wrap up of the project.
