According to a study done last year by Penn State University, when it comes to love, it’s the small gestures that matter most. Researchers found that small, non-romantic gestures topped the list of what makes people feel most loved. This is great news! Whether you’re in relationship heaven, struggling to see it survive, or anywhere in between, we can all improve or support our relationships with the people we love through really simple and easy actions. Here are five quick an...d fun things you can do today: 1. Leave someone a kind note, it can be as simple as drawing a heart and sticking it to the mirror or fridge. 2. Hold the door open and smile at them when they walk through. 3. Bring them a drink or snack when they aren’t expecting it. 4. Give them a hug. 5. Look up, make eye contact and smile when they walk into a room. Feeling too cool for school? Do these seem a bit silly? Maybe...but try them and see what happens Perhaps unsurprisingly, whether we feel loved (or not) plays an important role in how we feel day to day. Taking action toward making another person feel loved is as transformative for the doer as it is for the receiver. See more

The last couple of weeks have felt super busy. It's been a good opportunity to experiment with the impacts of viewing something as "get to do" vs "have to do". Even things that we want to do (get to do) can start to feel taxing if we put them in the box or "have to". Luckily, the opposite is also true. It's not about lying to ourselves or masking something. It's about not succumbing to fears that we're not enough (to do it), patience, understanding our inherent good fortune and being appreciative. I'm sharing this video not to talk about getting rid of negative people in my life, but as something personally aspirational. I'm working towards having her vibe going "on the inside" while I'm getting everything done "on the outside".
