If any of you are interested in getting ice time , but not playing, we are always looking for a ref for either the over 45 games or men’s league games.

Don’t forget! We have a scheduled game for Sunday at 5:45. New rules are in place for COVID-19 : ... Masks are now mandatory to enter and exit the arena and in dressing rooms until you put your helmet on. Come partially dressed lower gear 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after No scrums during game No spitting No Showers Now allowing 5 on 5 hockey but still only 4 on the benches so 18 skaters in total

Hello to all of you Hosers out there. The Clearwater Hosers have taken a change in direction. We are now using an app called TeamSnap to determine how many people will be able to make it to games. If you have not been invited to the app by now, please contact me so we can connect that way. This seems to be the most efficient way to ensure we have enough players to get ice time. Also it lets other people know there’s enough players to make it worth while to come out and play.... So please contact me to get on the TeamSnap list if you are not already there. Hi everyone, so far we have only about 6 players. Thermostat we cannot ask for our own ice time. Please get out and solicit other players that are over 45. I have been playing with the younger guys and haven’t seen to many older guys there either. I am looking into a app called Team Snap it will help us in determining how many guys may be able to come out for a game. If you receive an email from me talking about it, just know I am working on it and will let you know if and when we can start using it. If you are reading this and want to be added to the Team Snap list for notifications, please send your email address and I will add you. Go Hosers!

Meanwhile, in Canada! These two houses combine backyards in the winter and build an ice rink for their kids to play on. Equipped with a hot tub, a tiered deck for parents and spectators and a BBQ to cover all the hot eats! Kenny Keene Chris Prentice Sarah Besso Heather Prentice

COVID Safety across the province requires adult hockey players to arrive with at least their lower gear on. That includes the Sportsplex. Staff will be enforcing this don’t make them be the bad guy just follow the rules... Roger Mayer

Shout out to all over 45 players! For now we have lost our time frame. Player participation for our games has been dismal. The arena cannot support a loss. Therefore they have combined young and old for a 7 o’clock start Friday evening. It’s good fun hockey, but it is very fast. For us to get a time slot to play a level playing field of skill, we are going to have to show a need. ... Please contact me if you are ready to start playing regularly! Once we have enough to support 5 on 5 I will fight for time. GO HOSERS!

Here ye! Here ye! "Adult drop in starts this Friday night with ice times at 6:30 and 8:15 And again Sunday at 6:30 these times are open to all ages, we will be starting the over 45 soon... Limited to the first 16 skaters - $10.00 each. no charging punch cards will be available next week Everyone knows all the COVID rules if we all stick to them this will work out! The following rules must be adhered to. contact tracing, - you will be met at the door and must provide name and phone # physical distancing requirements everyone knows the rules seats will be marked enhanced hygiene expectations for all players, including no spitting, no participation for players or officials who have COVID-19 symptoms, proper hand hygiene before and after games, no sharing of water bottles, While it is not be a requirement for participants to wear face coverings upon entering and exiting the facility, it is encouraged. All players and officials should wear face masks in any situation where physical distancing is not possible. Players and officials will be expected to arrive no more than 15 minutes before their game or practice and leave no more than 15 minutes after. Dressing rooms will be available for tying skates and donning upper gear and helmets. Players and officials must abide by Occupancy Limits on the players’ benches and change rooms. There will be no showers available. The following rules from Canadian Adult Recreation Hockey will be used. Game will be played on a full ice surface. Games will be 4 on 4 full ice. There will be no faceoffs, no physical contact and no body checking. Accidental/incidental contact may occur. After goals or when a scrum or gathering occurs the puck will be given to the defending team and the attacking team must retreat. A player that loses a glove must immediately retrieve the glove or leave the ice. No spitting. All penalties will result in a penalty shot. Immediate penalty for ALL intentional physical contact (2nd offense game ejection). Any major penalty or game misconduct can lead to automatic removal from the ice with no refund and future access to the arena may be denied. Roger Mayer"
