FALL IS HERE; I dont know about you but I love this time of year. The colours, the sunny days and cooler nights. Wearing cozy sweaters, boots and toques again. Pumpkin spice and back to warm soups and yummy baking. Theres been some changes in spa as I am now operating from the upper floor of my home. Due to Covid uncertainty, we have rented our full basement space. I am still up and operational but do not have laser services or hair salon at this time. Please read below pol...icies if you are booking appointments. 1. Please do not come to your appointment if you or anyone in your household are experiencing any symptoms of illness, including headache, fever, cough, runny nose, nausea, or diarrhea, in the last 14 days. If anyone you have been in contact with has had Covid, or has travelled from out of country in the last 14 days. At this time I will not be charging any cancellation fees for missed appointments due to illness but please ask that you give me as much notice as possible that you can not attend your appointment. 2. I will be scheduling appointments with plenty of time between to properly clean and reset for your appointment and minimize clients cross contact so I please ask that you arrive on time for your appointments. Anyone more than 15 minutes late will need to reschedule). 3. Masks are Mandatory and if you do not have a clean fresh mask for your appointment one will be provided for you at cost for your appointment. I will be placing a mask for each client in a Ziplock tacked outside the entrance door for you to put on before entering, or please wear your mask upon entering. (The door will be locked until I have completed set up and am ready for you to ensure no drop ins enter during client appointments). 4. Sanitizer will be provided upon entering or hand washing in the powder room upon entry if you prefer. For now we will only be entering via the side door front entrance by the red mailbox. 5. Clients are asked to keep personal items to a minimal. Cell phones are to stay in ones pocket or bag and not to be used during appointments. (Again to minimize germs brought into spa) 6. At this time refreshments will not be provided at the spa nor will coffee cups or beverage containers be allowed to be brought into the spa. (Again to minimize germs brought into spa). 7. Clients are to come alone and there will not be any guests to be brought to appointments. 8. Sooooo...... Im super frustrated after having two clients in the last couple weeks that came to me from another tech with noticeable gaps and damage to their beautiful lashes. Its cringeworthy. This is not the way lash extensions are meant to be. #1 is always MAINTAIN healthy natural lashes. To much weight with either the wrong diameters, wrong lengths, fans either pre made or to long and heavy for your natural lashes can cause PERMANENT damage. Nobody likes to see this in... our Industry. This damage was caused in only 2-3 appointments. Girls, Ive had lash extensions consistently for over 5 years and NO gaps. If your lashes are uncomfortable, are coming out with multiple lashes stuck together, are dropping or twisting, they may be improperly applied or the weights are not customized correctly to what your natural lash can handle. I am not sharing this info to bash anyone. Everyone needs to start somewhere, but this work is something Id only expect to see in someone learning and uncertified. I merely wish to inform lash extensions wearers of what to look for when selecting an artist. Look at pictures of their sets. Are they neat and tidy? When you get them if the above mentioned issues come about, dont wait until irreparable damage is done. Over time if consistent damage is done lashes can cease to grow back. Once the follicle is damaged repeatedly it will not be able to grow a new lash. I DO NOT charge for removals when we are applying a new set. Both these clients needed a full removal. We removed her previous set that was to long, to heavy, and too uncomfortable with premise fans that she never wanted. I was able to disguise those with super light volume fans while still managing to blend with a full classic set and maintain the health of beautiful natural lashes. Feriolo. My Zia sent me this picture this morning of the village where my Italian family originates from. In the background is the quarry that is the reason this beautiful village on Lago Maggiore came to be. This quarry is where the pink marble came from that they used to build the duomo in Milan. The cathedral took 6 centuries to build. They barged the marble from this quarry from Lago Maggiore all the way to Milan. My family were originally stone masons, which may be why m...y Papa who was not a large man, had really huge hands. Ive always felt drawn to lakes, maybe because my family on both sides have ties to living lakeside. Maybe this is why I live in Interlakes district here in the cariboobc.
