Each year we like to support another local non-profit with our 3 Weeks of Giving event. This year we chose GBF Community Services food bank. Each week we focus on Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner by asking people to bring in non-perishable food items. So far we have filled 3 bins and are working on a 4th! We combined this with our Wall of Gratitude and asked people to let us know what they are grateful for this year. It has been a tough year and it's nice to remember what we... have and what we appreciate. Thank you to all who have participated so far. Media Release - November 3, 2020 For Immediate Release November 3, 2020 Agency Staff Tests Positive for COVID-19 ... Grimsby, ON Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln, a provider of supports and services to over 300 children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities, has received confirmation today that a direct support professional has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff in question was tested after being in close contact with someone not associated with the agency who was positive for the virus, said France Vaillancourt, the organization’s Executive Director. The employee was asymptomatic and is now isolating at home. Affected employees and the people who live in the adult residential home are awaiting testing, and the agency’s staff members continue to provide care, using full personal protective equipment and enhanced cleaning protocols. The agency’s Pandemic Planning Response Team has been meeting regularly since March, implementing protective measures and preparing action plans for a variety of exposure scenarios given the vulnerable population served. Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln is working in partnership with the Niagara Public Health Unit, added Vaillancourt. The agency is grateful for the guidance and support provided by Public Health. Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln continues to closely monitor the people supported and staff working in the home where the outbreak has occurred.
