Here in Paradise, we’re all about supporting community and a big part of our community is the Ag. Society. Like many organizations, they’ve been hit hard with some of the temporary regulations in place. But like those before them, they’re doing all that they can to get by. Let’s show our community spirit and help out, while also getting a chance to win a little cash too! What an honour and a privilege to not only receive this tremendous grant but to also be a part of something pretty cool, thanks to the Rural Communities Foundation. We are looking forward to sharing what this meeting of the minds was all about. Stay tuned! If you’re an organization that could benefit from an opportunity like this, go ahead and and shoot your shot! Applications are due at the end of August!

The Climb Thru Time Museum will be open from 12:00 until 5:00 this holiday Monday! If you’re looking for a family friendly activity out of the sun during the heat of mid-day, this is it!

A very big and warm thank you to the family & friends of the late Don Deaville. Donations made at the time of Don’s passing were used for the new (and long lasting!) seating on our deck. Especially on these beautiful summer days, guests and community, please feel welcome to use this outdoor space. In times like these, small outdoor gatherings are the perfect way to stay connected with friends and neighbours, as Don always did. Thank you to Knud & Dororthy Sorensen, Jim & Charleen Teasdale, Pastor Ryan Sturge, Elijah Babcock, Dave Broemeling, Kyle Nicolas and especially the Deaville family for the time, effort and dedication to this project.

If you joined us last year at the outdoor FunRaiser, you might remember Bill Tchir, a telegraph buff, from Wainwright who joined us with some of his equipment, doing demonstrations and visiting with our guests. This summer we were the lucky recipients of a donation from him of a working telegraph set to be displayed at the Climb Thru Time Museum. Accepting the donation; our very own railway expert, Gary Warrington. Don’t forget, we’re open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 until 5:00.
