The best part about colour correction..taking it one step at a time. I’ve added the before, swipe if you want the dirty deets Full breakdown of this 6.5 hour project.... Target the following: 15% grey root(1.5inches) Level 4 Banding(2inches) Old highlights with level 5 demi(mids and ends) Step 1) Full foil with Wella freelights + 10vol on roots, 15 vol (olaplex in all of it) on band and old warm brown, leaving absolutely no space in between and very little drop out. Slices and tightly packed babylights for maximum coverage. Step 2) I had to hit the band area with fresh lightener after I finished foiling the back, and then again at the front. Step 3) Rinse, and apply olaplex no2 to the back of the hair while waiting for the front to finish processing. Step 4) Once everything was ready, we discovered that the band just wouldn’t completely come out. Step 5) Cry a little inside. Step 6) Enter: shadow root. This is a great compromise for someone who wants to stay really bright blonde, without it looking patchy if things don’t pull up totally even because of old colour. It doesn’t work in every situation, but the hair gods were on our side this time. Step 7) All over gloss with Wella colour touch 1OZ 10/81 + 0.5OZ 9/86 + 1OZ clear + 6vol Step 8) Process 25 mins, rinse and condition. Step 9) Shadow root: Wella colour touch 0.5OZ 7/0 + 0.5OZ 7/1 + 6vol Step 10) Process roughly 20 mins, rinse, and apply olaplex no2 all over. Step 11) Wash and condition. Then towel dry and apply olaplex 6,7 and style as desired! @olaplex for protection and styling.
