CMBA Familes & Players!! Today is your last day to register before the early bird deadline expires. If you have a credit from last season you still need to register!!! Please don’t miss out on your chance to save some $$. Our baseball season is still good to go at this point with some obvious Covid safety measures in place. Registration will still be open after today but you will pay an increased fee if not completed by today’s date. Let’s play ball
The early bird registration deadline is quickly approaching. Save yourselves some $$ and register BEFORE February 14.
High Performance team rosters are now posted on the CMBA homepage. https://www.cloverdalebaseball.com/
All indoor clinics at the CMBA batting cage comply with PHO orders. Please remember to wear your mask and that there are NO bathroom facilities!!
CMBA is proud to celebrate with Brady Sandes as he signs his Letter of Intent to continue his baseball career and education at Simpson University. Brady has been a long standing member of the Cloverdale baseball community and is pictured below with his biggest fan and brother, Dayton!! Good Luck Brady.
Just a reminder that tryouts for Peewee, Bantam and Midget AA & AAA divisions are fast approaching. If you have a player in one of these divisions who wishes to play either AA or AAA level please check out our website homepage and contact the appropriate division coordinator to ensure they are on the list!! Single A assessments will occur in late February 2021.
Exciting times are upon us at CMBA!! Games are set to begin this week after very long delay. The Board knows how difficult this has been for our association’s families as we’ve all missed watching our children play!! With that we ask that everyone PLEASE continue to respect our Covid safety plan. This includes practicing social distancing of 6 feet between yourself & others, refraining from leaning on the yellow capped fences and NOT using the bleachers. ... Please remember only ONE spectator per player. We understand that this is hard but coaches are able to use their discretion and will suspend game play if this is not followed. Please rotate your time at the park watching your player with others in your family!! There will be limited concession offerings during some games. Pre-packaged food only (no hot food) and NO CASH-DEBIT ONLY. Washrooms will be open for limited periods during games only & enhanced cleaning protocols have been implemented. We understand that your experience at the park this summer will be different but we ask that all our association families do their best to help us adhere to our safety plan. Please do your part to help keep our curve flattened so that we can all be out enjoying the park and watching the game we all love-safely, from a distance.... Thank you CMBA Board https://cdn1.sportngin.com///CMBA_COVID-19_Safety_Plan.pdf
Just a reminder to all the Cloverdale families that early bird deadline for registration is coming up fast!! Save yourselves some $$ and register before the deadline. Assessments begin at the end of this month!!

Wow! What a game. Everything we could ask for, a hard fought 10 - 9 final on the diamond battlefield. Congratulations to the 2020 15U AA Champions the Cloverdale Spurs!
Is anyone missing some ball gear?? Items were turned in late last week by a kind neighbour walking their dog through the park. Please message with a description of the items so we can get them safely returned. Thanks
A player had left this glove on Diamond #4 on Sunday evening Jul 12 came back a few minutes later and it was gone. Hoping someone has picked it up for safe keeping. Please let a board member know and it will be returned to the owner, no questions asked. Thank you
Cloverdale Minor Baseball is happy to announce that our CMBA COVID-19 Safety Plan has been approved by BC Minor and the City of Surrey so we are able to roll out our Return to Practice programming for the months of July and August. This is a Return to Practice program that allows for skill development. As guidelines are ever adapting we will need to adapt as necessary to ensure we remain in compliance with the guidelines laid out by BC Minor Baseball, Baseball BC, viaSport, ...and local and provincial health authorities. CMBA will be running Return to Practice for the 9U, 11U, and 13U divisions. We are currently looking for coach volunteers for the 15U A division in order to run that division. Unfortunately we are not able to offer programming for those in younger divisions as we as an association are adapting to this "new normal". The minimum birth year for participation is 2012, no exceptions. Please note that spaces are limited due to coach availability. Here are some details regarding the Return to Practice programming: the cost for these sessions will be $100 per player for all age groups credit card payment only the program is Return to Practice players should not attend if they show signs of COVID-19 (please see the full Illness Policy below) should a parent or child fail to adhere to the COVID-19 safety guidelines that they may be asked to withdraw from the session or the entire Return to Practice program there will be no refunds under any circumstances for the Return to Practice programming registration fees deferred from Spring 2020 can not be used for the Return to Practice programming there will be two sessions per week, starting week of July 6th and continuing through the end of August spectators are currently limited to 0 or 1 parent per athlete (NOTE - for 9U Tadpole it is required that 1 parent, no more, no less attend the session) registrants must have been registered for the 2020 Spring season in Cloverdale There are several document links on the CMBA homepage that you are encouraged to review.

CMBA Return to Play Coming Soon ViaSport has released the provincial Return to Sport guidelines (https://www.viasport.ca//default/files/ReturntoSportGuidel) and our Provincial Sport Organization (PSO), Baseball BC, is currently working on Return to Play Guidelines that CMBA will need to follow. Once the Baseball BC guidelines are made available the CMBA Board of Directors will work quickly to map out the programming options for our association. There is still uncertainty about what Return to Play options will be permitted but it's looking promising that we can get some kids on the field this summer to play some baseball.
Thank you all for your patience as we have been navigating through and providing information on the 2020 Spring Season from our governing bodies since mid-March via our various platforms. Cloverdale Minor Baseball Board of Directors have made the difficult decision to cancel the Spring 2020 season. The following form will allow you to provide your selection for your 2020 Spring Season Fee Requests. Please read through this full document carefully to ensure that the correct...Continue reading
The Board of Directors has been fielding several inquiries about refunds for the spring season. As of right now our association is still waiting for direction from BC Minor Baseball and Baseball BC about the return to play information. With the province of BC moving into Phase 2 next week we are expecting more information to come soon but we have not yet been provided details. Whether there will be a spring season and the dates it will run will be determined once more deta...ils come from our governing bodies. These are uncharted waters for our sport and our association and we need to be patient as we determine the steps forward. Safety of our players, officials, volunteers, and the rest of our baseball family is priority. The Board of Directors will be meeting shortly to determine the next steps based on the direction given to us by our governing bodies as well as developing our Sportsengine system to accommodate refunds and deferrals. This will take some time to develop. We sincerely wish we could have a firm direction at this point but without the guidance from our governing bodies we must ask you to be patient. Thanks, CMBA Board of Directors
There’s still hope for a season folks!! Hang in there. We miss you!!
Today we all wear 42 Hope to see you all soon CMBA family!! Stay safe and distant
Cloverdale Minor Baseball is a Community Baseball Association, run by volunteers, many of whom are also impacted by these uncertain times and we appreciate your patience with responses. WE ARE ALL DOING OUR BEST At this time, the Board at CMBA have not made any decisions on the upcoming baseball season as we wait for direction from the BC Government and our governing body, BC Minor Baseball. Upon direction from these organizations we will then be communicating with our ass...ociation’s members and addressing how the season will shape up if we are able to move forward or how we will be addressing the financials with regards to refunds / payment credits should the season not move forward. At this time the season has NOT been cancelled! Please note that CMBA is a not for profit association and we have, as an organization, already incurred costs to date as we worked towards the start of the season. Facility rentals for assessments/tryouts, equipment purchases and insurance costs are just some of these items. These will need to be reviewed in full before we move forward with any financial decisions. Teams have been drafted and balanced, with many who held practices and meet and greets prior to the pandemic. Withdrawals at this time would impact others within the association. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these uncertain times and would like to remind you that we are less than 1 week into when the season would have started so we will hang tight until we hear more. Once the board knows more, we will share that with all our association families. Stay safe and healthy, Cloverdale Minor Baseball
BC is leading the country in flattening the curve. Thank you to all our Cloverdale Baseball families for doing their part to help stop the transmission of Covid-19. We hope to see you all at the ball field soon!!
Baseball activities remain suspended indefinitely. Cloverdale Minor Baseball Families, We are writing to inform you that our Board met virtually yesterday evening for our regularly scheduled April 2020 meeting. The Board understands this is a difficult time of uncertainty for all our members and many have been hoping to hear further direction on the Spring 2020 Season. ... Cloverdale Minor Baseball is focused on following Government directives regarding Social Distancing in order to flatten the curve and hopes that our membership families are doing the same. The focus at this time is to follow the respective orders and wait for further direction from the Government and our governing body BC Minor Baseball before further decisions are made regarding the season. As we learn more, we will ensure we share next steps and details with you all. In the meantime, please keep your families safe and healthy. Thank you for your time, Cloverdale Minor Baseball Board of Directors
