Monday’s aren’t always welcomed by me. As a nurse, I don’t work Monday - Friday (some do!). Monday’s are hard. Sometimes, I set expectations of what my week *should* look like... and then I’m disappointed or overwhelmed when the week passes by. Already this morning, I got to be reminded of a few things:... 1) every behaviour has a reason 2) invite standards in, not expectations 3) slow down 4) bring your best self forward & 5) let go of what no longer serves me and accept it Happy Monday

What is it to Rise Up Shine Bright? For me, I would not be who I am today, without this brand and the woman behind it. To Rise Up Shine Bright, means [to me] stepping into my highest self, my best self everyday. It’s getting to know myself & to like myself more and more all of the time. Something I didn’t even know was possible. ... You see, almost a year ago, I was lost but I didn’t realize that I was. I wasn’t feeling my best, that much I knew. My momming was subpar, my wife-ing right there with it and my self compassion out the window. I’m regaining. Recharging. Reflecting. Tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow I get to see a favourite friend / mentor and meet a new friend; I get to capture her in a whole new light. In a way, I hope she falls in love with herself like never before but I also hope she recognizes herself. Have compassion my friends.
