THIS WEDNESDAY~ The 14th Annual Festival Mexicano "Hits the Road" via open-air bus, with pop-up performances from 12-2pm at some of the most iconic downtown Victoria locations, such as the Empress, Legislative, Delta Hotel, Fisherman's Wharf + Dallas Rd, finishing with a march up Government St!

Live Bachata & Salsa Night for Valentine's is the first one of what will be the Latin dance night's of Victoria, and it doesn't mean that only experienced dance...rs are welcome, but this is the type of event where we want to encourage you the one that have never done it to lose the fear to learn Salsa, Bachata and any other Latin dance style, by showing you more dancing than the usual at other events, we also want to help the most experienced ones to keep developing their skills. The band will not just play a show and bring the extra excitement that live music always give, will also accommodate to dancing by choosing a proper repertoire, at the speed and length that feels more familiar and organic to the Latin music dancer. These Latin dance nights also have the intention of supporting the great instructors and professional dancers of this city, we will be offering a class, but mainly we want to encourage people to follow up after the event and attend to the different workshops happening in the city, by seeing performances and doing it themselves. All dance instructors are welcomed to come promote their workshops with flyers, and it will be my pleasure to count with their professional presence at a future event. There are many people coming to this events for first time that are willing to come back and join workshops if they see excitement, enjoyment, quality, great atmosphere. I believe most of us the ones related to the Latin events community in Victoria would feel happy with interchanging and sharing their knowledge and joy for dancing, and I think there could be more support and collaboration between all of us, that reciprocity will impact positively on everyone and would really help on the expansion of Latin culture in this area.
