Let’s Create a Fall Masterpiece! Friday Oct 6 - Fall PD Day!!! Join us at The Hive Art Studio for an hour-long session where we’ll be creating our very own fall masterpiece inspired by the landscapes of Canada’s Group of Seven. Using a variety of methods (blow-art, pointillism, collage) this session is sure to be fun for ages 5 to 11 years old.... Ages: 5 to 11 Date: Friday Oct 6, 2017 Duration: 1hr workshop Times: 4:00-5:00 PM and 5:00-6:00 PM Price: $15 / 1 hr workshop ACTIVITY: Create an autumn landscape inspired by Canada’s Group of Seven. DIRECTIVE: -Using these two paintings as inspiration, we’re going to create our own Canadian autumn landscape. However, we’re going to try to incorporate a couple other fun techniques into our creations: -Blow-art trees but some dabs of paint where you want your leaves to go. Using a straw, blow the paint around to create a splatter effect. Paint in the tree trunk after. -Hand-print pointillism trees trace your hand and arm onto the paper. Your arm is the trunk of the tree and your fingers are the branches. Using a small paintbrush, add small dabs (pointillism) of paint to the branches to create leaves.
