This year marked 50 yrs that my family immigrated to Canada from Portugal. I am grateful & thankful that they chose Canada. Thank you Canada for the opportunities you have given us & allowing us to contribute back to this great country. #HappyCanadaDay #ProudCanadian #50years

As a proud Portuguese-Canadian, I want to wish everyone celebrating today a #HappyPortugalDay! Portuguese roots in Ontario & in Canada are strong. Our pioneers & ancestors paved the way to shape & build our province and our country. Now it is up to us to come together and share our culture & traditions so that our children, grandchildren & future generations will continue to flourish knowing where they came from and showing the world that they are proud of their Portuguese r...oots. The celebrations this year are a bit different due to Covid-19, but wherever you are celebrating, may you celebrate with the same enthusiasm & passion as you have in past years. Feliz Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades.

For days my heart has been so heavy. As a mother, I have yet to bring myself to watch the full video. For days I have been struggling with what to say. #blackoutday #heissomeonesson #sheissomeonesdaughter

The Carnation Revolution also known as the 25 April was initially a 25 April 1974 military coup in Lisbon which overthrew the authoritarian Estado Novo regime. The revolution would result in a democratic Portugal. #25deAbril #25deabrilsempre #liberdade #CarnationRevolution

This is the responsible thing to do. As parents, we now need to be just as responsible and make sure we are not taking our kids to large gatherings and events in public spaces. #COVID19
