I think this Alberta sunset is done... The skies are amazing here. I fussed a little more with the sky and didn't ruin it as I feared I might...and it's signed ...so it must be done. This may be the last painting of the year completed. I started another one today but will see if I have time to finish it before 2021. See more

Finished up this little painting. Inspiration came from the full beaver moon we just had. I've only had time to work on small paintings this month and enjoying working with detail brushes and the creative process. Hoping to have this one framed up today.

I have three paintings that have been accepted into the Federation of Canadian Artists online 2020 Landscape exhibition. The gallery is now open so they will be having the show at their gallery. As I was not expecting to ship my paintings I entered one very large one, "Smoke on the Water" and two smaller ones. I've decided to ship one of the smaller ones to the gallery in Vancouver, on Granville Island. Hopefully, with no damage. Here is a great step-by-step guide for artists to ship their artwork successfully that I thought was very helpful.

Auction Rules are as follows: - Bid under the paintings in increments of $20 or more. - Starting Bids on all the paintings, unless otherwise noted, are $200. - Online Bidding closes at 9pm on Friday March 20th - In the case of a bidding war, bidding will continue until one bidder informs us they are dropping out. NOA has so many great artists, and here are four more for you to get to know. Angela Stadlwieser-Smith has been with NOA for a few years now. She's a lovely wo...man, very friendly, a wonderful artist, who paints in both oil and acrylic. Her art always captures my eye; I love her style. Her paintings are colourful and bold. I especially love the ones she did of the Edmonton River Valley, but then again, her street scenes are great, and then there are the trees, so cool....I could keep going on.... I'm looking forward to seeing Angela once again this year, and hopefully being able to get to know her better. I'm excited to see what new pieces will be adorning her booth. I love her encaustic art, there is something just so enchanting about it. Dilys just recently began painting in 2014, but you would never know it by her talent, just amazing! Last year I took in an art show for a couple of our NOA artists at the Carrot Café and had the privilege of hearing Dilys' husbands band and to listen to her sing. What a beautiful voice, she's an opera singer, did you know? I didn't hear opera that night, but Dilys and the band were great!
