Hey folks! Are you struggling with stress and mental health skills right now? Are you feeling overwhelmed by the pandemic and all that has come along with it? I...f you are 16 or older, live in Camrose or area, and are receiving services from any of our social service agencies in this large area (this is very broadly accepted) - you can attend this group for FREE. We are looking to add a few more to the group numbers, and will begin either next week (Sept 10) or the following week (Sept. 17). Thursdays, via Zoom Pro 10am-12pm We will be creating a set of Wellness Coping Cards throughout the 6 weeks. Tools needed: -an old deck of cards, or paper/recycled cardboard to cut cards out of - scissors, glue - images: from old magazines, catalogs, or printed from the internet. You can even photocopy pictures you've taken! Optional: - pencil and erasers, markers, pencil crayons, pastels, stickers, embellishments, yarn, fabric, white glue, hot glue Note: appropriate for individuals 16+yrs, experiencing stress, anxiety, isolation, and low moods related to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Not appropriate for those in immediate crisis; participants must be in a stable and secure position, and be able to commit to attending the full 6 weeks of the group. From Sept 25 Sept 27 join the Center for Suicide Prevention Council in participating in the virtual Run for Life a journey from light to darkness to support suicide prevention and honor those lost to suicide. https://www.suicideinfo.ca/runforlife Besides walking or running, you are also able to recognize a loved one lost to suicide by sending in their photo at the time of registration or to [email protected] with that person’s name so we can commemorate them on Sunday, Sept. 27

As a participant, you decide what art you want to work on bring a project of your own, follow the weekly theme, or create spontaneous art - the choice is yours! An Art Hive Open Studio is a safe space where everyone is welcomed as artists, beginners as well as those with experience. We believe that creating art is inherently human; within the Art Hive Open Studio, each participant just becomes a human creating alongside another human, fostering community and friendships.
