People with developmental disabilities don’t have many housing options. Living with family or in long term care facilities makes it challenging to feel independent. Chorus Apartments is different. It houses people with and without disabilities. The inclusive nature of the project means residents with developmental disabilities get enough support to care for themselves, while gaining independence, confidence and community. Residents describe their move to Chorus as life changing. Here’s their story: http://ow.ly/ukjD50CZqn2

Jeanette Moss and the Salsbury Community Society operates the @Co:Here Housing Community. In collaboration with a group of residents, they tackled the many challenges COVID-19 would bring. They increased cleaning and posted health guidelines, while residents organized fresh food boxes to ensure the building’s most vulnerable people had access to food. Despite rapidly changing health information and best practices, they made sure everyone had what they needed to be safe and healthy in their home. Here’s their story : http://ow.ly/wMTz50CXAgt

The Co:Here Housing Community is home to residents from all lifestyles and socio-economic backgrounds. COVID-19 posed many challenges for staff and residents, but their dedication to community was unstoppable. They quickly created new safety policies, while younger and less vulnerable residents stepped up to ensure older residents had the medication and groceries they needed. The community worked together to ensure the safety and care for everyone in the building. Here’s their story: http://ow.ly/klcw50CTbij
