HINDSIGHT IS 2020 10 Valuable lessons in life & business from this past year 1) Change is inevitable - adaptability is the key to success.... 2) Routines are helpful, but keep them loosely (read - adaptability). 3) Everything CAN change overnight (read again, adaptability). 4) Self care is a priority, not a priviledge. 5) Show you care - people don’t care what you know, until they know that you care. 6) Accept what is out of your control. 7) Let go of the past, it is no longer in your control. 8) Support your network - your friends and local businesses are more important than the ‘best price’. 9) It’s okay to ask for help - burnout is real! 10) It’s OK to not always be OK! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS About me - It’s been 4 years now since I left my secure job as an analyst in financial industry to pursue real estate. I wasn’t in a good place. I was full of doubt. It took a long time to build up the courage.... What happened when I finally took took the plunge? Well, it was hard. Very hard most days. There were lots of days I doubted my decision. There were lots of days when I woke up thinking what have I done. But, there were also some good days. Days I knew it was the right thing. Those kept me going. Why am I telling you this? Because I want you to know, the journey is not a ride straight to the top. You will have good days and bad - and you will need to get through them all the same. If you don’t have a thick skin, you’ll develop one. Trust me. Beauty is only skin deep - adversity builds character! I’m still not where I want to be yet, but I’m on the right path.
