Currently on a new smaller project. This customer is tired of seeing so much stone in her home. The river rock maniac tile used on the floor and bump out not only dont go with the rough stone in the fireplace but are slowing popping out. The fireplace stone is fake but also not stacked nicely or finished well in areas around the fireplace and mantle. Customer has asked that it be taken down and drywalled. The odd bump outages on either side are actually covering some of t...he venting for fresh air going to the fireplace insert so to make sense of this space more we are going to place custom cabinets on either side for some wood storage and counter tops for her plants and other items to go back on. 8 bags of self level later this floor space will be ready to tie in with the old for some vinyl flooring. These clients added to the front of their home to allow for a more formal foyer to their home bumping it out to an existing concrete deck with overhang. An added bonus space with a lower cost budget. Out working with Pac West Contracting in Kelowna today working on the finishing stages of this 10 unit retired motel after being bmrebuilt due to a fire a while back. It's quite the thing when you are refacing a fireplace. This project consists of removing all the old stone facing, installing a gas insert properly and strapping the old block chimney so it can be drywalled. Some custom cabinets are being discussed for either side at this time. Another project in the books. Tile work is done in a brick pattern with the white border tile done in a herringbone. New vinyl plank flooring with a new toilet and vanity. Just a little progress shot. Probably the smallest tile I have used in a shower that hasn't been a mosaic sheet. Gravity works against us when doing wall tile so to avoid problems we are stopping here. Theres going to be border put in at this level as it is which we are going to try a different pattern combo for. Well this one is a wrap. This was our landscape rescue after a landscaper dropped the ball on one of our long time clients. We installed the stone steps of you remember in the late fall and finally got to return to finish the rest of this yard for them with going beyond their original plan. I love the way this yard flows from the kitchen garden doors to the shed on the upper level of their yard. They plan on adding a dart board and a ping pong table to add to their fire pit and lounge area. Would like to remind our clients that we will be closed for some holiday time from June 28th until July 13th. Off to visit some family in Ontario after 2 years so we apologize for the inconvenience. Can you see where the patch Is?? This kitchen had what is called California style lighting. Once removed the 4'x4' area was left unfinished and needed to be taped, mudded and textured to blend into the rest of the ceiling. Pot lights were installed prior to this. Just to recap... this is the dining room of the house we've been working in. This room had nothing to do with the project except for the fact the plumbing for the new bathroom had to be run in it. The bulk head is all new and unfortunately takes away from the 10ft ceiling heights. The room already had grown molding so we dropped that with the bulk head which in total was 12" drop. We then added a larger crown molding in the original height for two reason... 1, it adds character and style... 2, it reduces the visual aspect to just how much of the bulk head is really there. In the end we think for having added something undesirable, we have added more to this dining room for style and elegance

Freedom's Gate Equine Rescue is a non profit organization that rescues horses from abusive situations, abandoned or from those who can't handle them. These horses are rehabilitated and adopted to new families for what everyone always hopes as their forever homes. There are two main women running the show and with a high number of horses and always lots of other work to do they have fencing in dire need of repair. We are looking to help them and volunteer some hours to install new posts for fencing. We would like to ask if anyone would like to volunteer with us as well. More hands means less work. We are also looking into getting a local rental business involved with some machinery to help speed up the process.

It saddens us to see the city of Vernon filling with people with people suffering from addictions... but what's worse is how they treat the area for the families and children living here. We wanna hear your feed back and though about our local area.
