Soooo stepping out of my comfort zone(s) lately. This is my love for the fabric ribbons me and mama made 2 years ago. I want to list it on Etsy since months ... And kind of freaking out about time management once I go back to work in April. I'm hardly able to put in the time I would like to into MY businesses. Too much?!

Look at my hideous scissors? Don't! Daniyal is always finding a pair to cut on cardboards, boxes and God knows what. ... I'm in need of a new one. Clearly. Instead, look at this macrame! The more I make, the more I fall in love. After this project, I already have almost 5 weaving projects lined up, will I finish them before April? I go back to work in April. Meanwhile, I shall soak in fibre.

Aisha Khanam, of Aicha's Designs, has been living in Brampton since 2015 and working with fibre arts since 2013. She's a mum to two handsome boys, and a self-pr...oclaimed "IT geek" at her day job. Her passion for upcycling lead her to fibre arts. Every piece she creates incorporates thrifted or upcycled material to create a modern and sustainable piece of art. She crochets and weaves, and knows some macrame. Aisha loves playing with texture and different techniques in her art. In the future, she hopes to work with local businesses to create something personalized for their spaces. Aisha also uses art as an emotional outlet. She has recently started teaching as well. She says, "My goal is to create a positive and productive community around me which helps others flourish in life and help in emotional wellbeing." Below are a few of her pieces: first, a large woven wall hanging made from cotton rope and wool roving; second, two large Pipa knots; and third, earrings which can be purchased on her Etsy shop in several different colours.
