As you can imagine, I'm writing you about the new lockdown announced by the premier yesterday and the upcoming reservations for that period. The College of Massage Therapists has indicated that I am able to continue providing treatment to clients based on priority and urgency through the shut down period. Based on this direction, I don't feel its my place to decide what is a priority as I believe injury treatment is as important as mental health. I will be reaching out to y...ou before your scheduled appointment and ask if you feel your massage is necessary to ensure your continued well being. If the answer is yes, I ask that you weigh the risk for myself and you, should you wish to proceed with your massage. Because of the extra precautions I will be taking to ensure your safety, massages will be limited to 30 minute appointments during the lock down period. The online system has been updated to reflect for now. If you wish to defer your appointment until our restrictions are lifted, please let me know as soon as possible and I will be happy to reschedule. If you have left the district or have had recent contact with someone who has, your appointment will have to be rescheduled for a date following the mandated 2 week lockdown for Northern Ontario. I will continue to monitor and follow the college’s mandates and implement changes as they arise which includes adding or removing restrictions and timelines.
