INTRINSIC BEAUTY Enjoying these beautiful flowers this morning and contemplating the value of intrinsic beauty. It’s something we humans have treasured since the dawn of civilization. I believe flowers help us see the presence within nature, the magnificence and wonder of creation.... Right now with so much ugliness sparking around the world, the injustices, the fear, the confusion and disparity it’s important to not get lost in it. Flowers are a way home, a doorway into the heart and soul of the natural intelligence that is all around us. That is within us and unites us all. We are one species on a big ball of gas and matter trying to let go of our attachments of me and mine. The journey is thick with learning, find the trees in the forest and remeber who you are. When I started working with Josie, I was so unsure... Of how the process would work for me, internally. Personally I’ve been struggling this week. Had time in our shared tiny office this morning to get a strategy together and get productive and ended up procrastinating over where to start. I’ve been looking at what I haven’t done and it feels like a long list. Like brushing my hair today LOL. It’s not easy right now for anyone, we are all facing our own challenges, life changes and a deep grief for the loss of the way things where. There is a collective trauma globally and ...from this place it can feel sticky and slow. That’s certainly how it’s feeling for me right now. What I’ve come to recognize in my own process of growth is I can get pretty pessimistic, unmotivated and spin my wheels and it feels really heavy. And then, it happens: I get sick of myself and the bullshit story of what’s in the way. I get so fed up with my lack of progress that I spring out and create. Usually something pretty cool and pretty impactful. So I’m in the dip and thought for anyone out there who’s feeling the weight of it all today like me, just remember it’s always darkest before the dawn. At some point in the near future your tune will change, you’ll wake up a little more aligned and ready to get to it and love the shit out of this life again.
