Happy Mindset Monday ya’ll ! What’s your why? If it’s a kinda, sorta, maybe why, you’re only going to be kinda, sorta, maybe successful out there. FACT. In this new reality, now more than ever, we cannot get away with just a good product or service and a good work ethic. It is simply not enough.... I am proud to announce that I am launching a 3 part webinar series where I help business owners and sales professionals make their why have meaning. Meaning for their target audience. I see far too many sales people out there talk about how great their product or service is. How it is ‘better quality or best value all around. NO ONE CARES! What they care about is what is in it for them. I have a very specific process to help businesses understand what iti is that matters and how to communicate that. It’s tough right now. For sure. But doing nothing is NOT an option! I’m speaking today to the business owner or salesperson who is feeling stuck in this quagmire of uncertainty. ... What’s a salesperson to do? No one is buying! When the going gets tough, the tough get going! Right? Okay then.. Where the hell do we go?!?! We go back to the drawing board. That’s where! Take a moment to forget about sales opportunities. Instead think Service opportunities. Think CONNECTION opportunities. For Service opportunities. How can the expertise I know, or that my company delivers benefit others? I look at Price Industries here in Winnipeg. They have pivoted their business to focus on building instant isolation chambers. They saw an opportunity. Number one, they are keeping their staff busy in a challenging time. Two, Their staff are proud to be producing a product that is improving lives and making a difference. For connection, there are countless examples I’ve noticed. One simple one that jumped out was a local bowling alley. Uptown alley. @uptownalley204 They are certainly a business that is hamstrung right now. How do they keep selling? They can’t. How do they give back with what they have? Their offering is so closely tied to their brick and mortar. So what have they done? They posted in social media that their big spacious parking lot would make an ideal canvas for sidewalk chalk. They invited the community to come out into the fresh air and get creative. They went on to suggest that people collect messages and images of gratitude and hope for front line essential workers. Working from a place of service. Great ideas are not created in a vacuum or by just one person. The best ideas involve collaboration and consultation.
