Update: 5:53pm Crews have cleared all vehicles from the highway and have returned to station. Hwy 3 is now open however travel is not recommended. ***************************************************... Update: 4:55pm Crews are continuing to clear the highway of all stranded vehicles. Hwy 3 westbound remains closed between Hwy 25 and Coalhurst. We have been made aware of stranded motorists in the Town and are working to have the Community Centre opened up for a place for people to go. More information on this will be provided shortly. *************************************************** Update: 2:37pm Crews continue to work on clearing the highway and have cleared a lane a traffic and are using it to remove all stranded motorists that have vehicles that are still driveable. Another EMS unit has arrived to treat the last patient involved. All other patents have been transported to CRH. *************************************************** Crews are currently on scene with Lethbridge Fire and EMS on Hwy 3 approximately 1 Km West of Highway 25 in the westbound lanes dealing with a multi vehicle MVC. There are currently numerous emergency response vehicles on scene dealing with approximately 30 vehicles involved in this collision. Hwy 3 westbound is closed. All travel is not recommended.
Crews are conducting a live burn today just Northeast of the Fire Station on Twp Rd 93A. This is a live training event and not an emergency.
UPDATE (5:12pm Nov 2): We can now, happily confirm that Myles Gilbert has been found and is now back with his family. Thank you to everyone for their efforts an...d concern for Myles. We would ask that you continue to support the Gilbert family and allow them time to themselves. We are asking for your assistance in locating a grade 5 student missing from Raymond Elementary School. Myles Gilbert was last seen walking to school this morning and has not been seen since. He left home wearing a black pair of jogging pants, a black hoodie, runners, and was carrying a backpack. His green hair is faded to be yellowish-green. A photo of Myles is attached. Please check your property and areas around your home. Crews are currently on scene with a jackknifed semi on Hwy 3 just east of Hwy 23 in the eastbound lanes. There are no injuries at this collision however crews are dealing with a fuel leak on the semi.
