CCC Turns Six During the holidays, raise a toast for your Coast Car Co-op. This week we celebrate 6 years operating on the Sunshine Coast! Fleet News... Big changes and good news for members On January 6th our fleet will be upgraded with new hardware from Astus, a company based in Quebec. This will eliminate our access problems and ensure our fleet has advanced capability for years to come. Modo has kindly agreed to do the installation for us here on the Coast so there will be minimal disruption to vehicle availability. Please be sure to book a few days ahead as we will pull each vehicle from the fleet for a few hours based on availability. The software conversion should be completed by mid month. This system will reduce our monthly operating expenses. And a new truck!! Thanks to a generous donation by Sherry Hallson and Glenys Robison, the old truck will be replaced at the same time we convert to the new system. A 2009 Ford Ranger will enter the fleet and be based in Roberts Creek. We'll notify members when we have an exact date. The Pontiac Vibe (now completely winterized) will move to SunnyCrest mall. Vehicles will be moved periodically based on member demand. New Pricing in the New Year Your board of directors has been analyzing our pricing. There will be a modest increase in hourly fees and daily maximums this spring to cover rising insurance costs. Watch the website for the announcement of when these fees come into effect. Check those Expiry Dates Please keep your credit card information current by updating expiry dates and addresses. Many of us are enrolled in the automatic payment system via credit card to pay our monthly invoice. Credit cards expire and are replaced with new ones. Be sure to log in to your Co-op account and enter your new card into the system. Thanks for helping. Everybody’s contribution helps your co-op stay afloat Marketing and Membership In late January we will apply for a federal grant to help us do a market analysis and create a marketing plan and materials. We need to expand our co-op and have lots of folks interested in joining but need a market analysis and a marketing plan to help us make good decisions about where to spend our limited resources to generate the most new drivers. Did you know that Coast Car Co-OP has a new to us pick up truck that was added to the fleet and will be located in Gibsons at Sunnycrest Mall for the month of March? The Vibe will be moving to Roberts Creek by the Library for March. Please make use of the vehicles. We hope this move (requested by members) will satisfy the needs of our Coast Car Co-OP family. Thanks to all the members who support the co-op on a daily basis. With winter on us, we are entering a lower usage season. Please think of using the co-op vehi...cles for your holiday shopping or to take someone for lunch. So many reasons to use the vehicles. If every member could book a vehicle for a couple of hours every month, we can keep a community presence and cover operations. Also, stay tuned for a February beer and burger event. Bring a friend, fish gotta swim and birds gotta eat. So let's all eat together in February! See more

Here we are falling into fall with a vehicle location swap for the month of October. The truck will be moving back to Roberts Creek for the month of October and the Pontiac Vibe will be relocated to the Sunnycrest Mall to keep the van company. So all you Creekers can take advantage of the truck for fall clean-up. Thanks for all the support

We are excited to be part of the FUSE Community Work Hub, and to see their fantastic new location in Sechelt (which opened today!). Congratulations to SCREDO for taking co-working on the Sunshine Coast to a whole new level by opening hubs in Sechelt and Madeira Park, and expanding the hub in Gibsons.
