Bringing elements from our local landscape to this lower Gibsons property. Hand placed local stone along with strategically placed driftwood maintains the charm of our quaint oceanside community while reducing the need for our much needed water and regular maintenance. Finished replacing this small retaining wall. Made to fit into the existing work done on the property while making some small but meaningful changes. Path was widened at staircase for safety reasons and the correct drainage and barriers were added. Ran into a substantial boulder along the way (as one does) and with a little maneuvering and some elbow grease it made for an attractive and natural addition to the wall. Finished with a cap for a more defined edge and to mimic the handrails throughout. I’m really pleased with how this turned out. #gibsonsbc #sunshinecoastbc #landscaping
