Next up on the ZAG ambassador team is Paul Greenwood aka Powder @gnarlyroot . Paul is one of the stronger skiers around our neighbourhood on the coast, and a skier that you’re more likely to see than almost any other in the Sea to Sky. Needless to say he is a kind, Humble and funny guy who can switch to shred mode with the flick of a switch. From the steep couloirs to fluffy pillows Paul is the man. Not to mention Paul is also a well know Chiropractor in Squamish, BC @gree...nwoodchiropractic. Here are a couple of questions with him. Q: How old are you? Where do you live? What do you do to make a living? A: I am 33 and live in Squamish, BC. I work as a Chiropractor at Squamish Barbell. Q: How did you get into skiing? A: My Mom took me to Seymour when I was 4 and tried her best to keep me from speeding into the nets at the bottom of the bunny hill. Obviously I liked to go fast, so I started ski racing when I was 10. My parents have been encouraging my ski addiction since. Q: What is one of your favourite aspects of backcountry skiing? A: Hanging out with good friends, swapping stories and talking out our problems while exploring new areas. Q: Favourite snack/meal during or after a long tiring day on skis? A: During: Honey and PB wrap. After: Burrito from La Cantina! Q: What interests you most about ZAG Skis? A: Chamonix inspired Ski Mountaineering skis that have the ability to move fast and efficiently while still providing confidence on big lines. Q: What is an accomplishment you are proud of? (Does not have to be ski related) A: Sending the roof crack, Zombie Roof in Squamish a few years ago! Q: What are you most psyched for this winter on skis? (can be a goal, Objective, something goofy, fun, doesn't matter) A: Transitioning a hard off season of training into a few bigger expedition based objectives around British Columbia. Q: Do you have any other passions/hobbies outside of skiing? A: Outside of skiing I am usually thinking about skiing. However, I do love to rock climb, alpine run/scramble, surf and listen to music. I also enjoy hanging out with my dog Rowdy and my partner Jenna on our paddle boards at the lake! Sounds rad Paul! We are looking forward to hearing about your adventures in the mountains this year.
