The beautiful Rose Fillardeau, from Kwantlen First Nation, will be singing with Dennis Leon on Sat. Feb. 13, 2021 for our Virtual Craft Class with Una Ann. Day 2 - Una Ann, Tahltan/Tlingit Artist, will be teaching us how to bead and complete our Medicine Pouch! One of the most damaging impacts of residential schools is the loss of indigenous language(s). That is why we feel it’s so important to support language revitalization. sesmélt Fern Gabriel has been working tirelessly to revitalize the hnqminm (down river dialect) language in our communities and in our schools. One initiative in partnership with the Langley School District was to fund the creation of a hnqminm counting book i e kxet k qelc Let’s Count the Moon by sesmélt.
