Do you think it will be a white Christmas in the Southern Cowichan Valley? Thanks to the Shawnigan Cobble Hill Malahat Road Conditions group, here are a list of snow plow removal people for the South Cowichan if it actually does snow. 2020 has had SO MANY challenges, let's hope heavy snowfall won't conclude the year! ... Oh, and thanks to Bex Morley Art for the illustration on the post picture! Maybe some snow for a bit of tobogganing for the kids might be in order!

Once again we thought it would be worthwhile to share this picture of the apple trees that used to be at the Cobble Hill Commons but have been moved over to the Cobble Hill Farmers Institute land. This is the Cobble Hill Farmers Institute President Roger Painter taking time out on a Sunday to ensure that the new trees have water, good soil, and some additional nutrients so they will survive over the winter well until it's a good time to plant them in the early new year. Th...ere are many more trees that have been 'rescued' and will be planted on the Cobble Hill Hall land. The photographer couldn't get them all in! We just wanted the South Cowichan public to know those trees and blueberry bushes will be well taken care of and once re-established and producing fruit will be available for the public's use. Merry Christmas from the Board of Directors and the members of the Cobble Hill Farmers Institute !

The #Cowichan Valley is renowned for their Farmers Market and the Duncan Farmers Market is one of the best. Without COVID, we have two excellent Markets on the Cobble Hill Farmers Institute grounds from Spring through Fall - Cobble Hill Sunday Market and the Cobble Hill Farmers' Market. New COVID regulations will not allow non food vendors to sell in person. So, click on the link below and see all the regular and some new for Christmas non-food vendors and their online lin...ks with information on how to find them and what they have for sale. The timing couldn't be worse for some of these very small craftspeople - and some of their wares would make excellent Christmas gifts. #ShopLocal #smallbusinesscowichan https://www.facebook.com/DuncanFarmersMarket/posts/3920500854635863

Funny clips of pets in hilarous situations! Yes, we are a community organization with an agricultural focus, but this video was just too great to share.
