@lynx_snowmobiles update! We’ve spent the last couple days putting the new RAVE RE 3500 through its paces , and it has definitely exceeded expectations! For starters, everywhere we look online people compare this sled to the Renegade X rs , so we went ahead and did exactly that today, literally. We rode the two sleds together for about 130 miles today swapping back and forth, only to come up with the simple fact that they’re absolutely nothing alike. The RAVE RE 3500 is defin...itely a closer match to the Back Country X rs than it is to the Renegade X rs from what we can tell. Here are a few points that jumped out at us today: - the RAVE RE 3500 has a very high fun factor and is a very playful feeling sled to drive - although it’s no lighter than the comparative sleds in the lineup it has a very light and nimble feel to it while riding - the cockpit has fantastic ergonomics whether you’re standing or sitting - the seating position and shape of the side panels naturally forces you to get out over the front of the sled when jumping or rolling over hill crests - the Blade XC + ski is one of the best all around skis we have rode with, reacting very well throughout the day with changing snow conditions - the PPS rear suspension is a very active, yet surprisingly predictable skid. Through the rough sections and sharp whoops it reacts a lot more like an MX suspension absorbing a lot of the impact while keeping the chassis flat and true - the footwell protectors (quite different from the Ski-Doo version available in the PAC Catalogue) are a subtle, yet really effective addition. We actually found ourselves pushing our feet off the running boards when cornering after getting back on the Renegade X rs - clutching/gearing seems very consistent, reaching 110mph on the gauge but maintaining great corner to corner acceleration - let’s face it, the thing just straight up looks badass too! #BRP #lynx #ridereviews #realworld See more

We got a chance to put some miles on the 2022 @lynx_snowmobiles RAVE RE 3500 ! Here are some initial thoughts: - the suspension out of the box was softer than expected, so for those of you worried about it being too stiff, out of the crate vs the Renegade X rs it is softer. - weight transfer with the PPS rear suspension is incredible, you can hold the skis coming out of a corner for as long as you want, and simply shift your weight forward to plant the skis back down. - for... aggressive trail riders, the limiter strap needs to go up one hole compared to stock in order to keep the skis a little more planted when cornering under throttle. - for the top speed junkies, 106 mph (on the gauge) out of the box in break-in mode. - the ergonomics of the panels make it very easy to move from side to side while cornering in the tight trails. - slightly less wind in the lower body due to the design of the panels. - the seat height is higher than the Renegade X rs , and the seat is stiffer. - the chassis has significantly less flex , on the positive side this allows the suspension to give you more feedback but on the negative side there is a noticeable increase in the amount of vibration you feel. - the grips are nice, easier to hang on to than stock @skidoo grips on the Renegade X rs. - the stock riser is perfect for aggressive riding styles, but could be uncomfortable for the everyday trail rider.
