COVID-19: As part of our educational campaign in regards to the Ontario Government's 'Stay-at-Home Order', the Town of Cobourg and the Cobourg Police Service wa...nt to ensure that our community understands the latest restrictions. Constable Hilts brings you the first question as part of our #FAQSeries: : Can an officer stop a vehicle for no reason? : Officers will not stop vehicles for the sole purpose of checking compliance under the Reopening Ontario Act. Officers are only authorized to stop vehicles where there are reasonable grounds to believe the individual(s) are breaking the law, such as for Highway Traffic Act violations. Other instances may be complaint driven, where police will follow up on public complaints reported to them. There are 9 spaces remaining in our Power Skating program, with Dennis Sicard of War Horse Hockey. This is a program based entirely on skating skills! Pucks are used minimally as we focus on pure skating technique and improving speed. Great for kids who play organized hockey as it is a very fast paced program. Please note this is not a learn to skate program and skating experience is required. Sign up here ... https://townofcobourg.maxgalaxy.net/Registration.aspx See more
