I ran down to the end of my street where I met up with another piper (but not too close!) and we played another wee tune for her neighbours! Thanks Gloria!

Due to the corona virus, band practice has been cancelled. We have decided to cheer up our neighbourhoods by piping a tune each night at 7pm until this is over. I know I had 4 sets of neighbours come outside to listen and then thanked me afterwards for putting smiles on their faces. It was well worth it! One of our pipers borrowed this idea from a piper in Spain that is trying to cheer up his neighborhood. It worked in the west end of Cobourg tonight! Cheers!

Last night Jane and I had the privilege of handing over a cheque to the Legion Poppy Fund for over $6000 raised from our HIghway of Heroes Tribute Concert. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in making the concert such a success! Let’s do it again next year! Until then.....We will remember them.

The Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums are excited to announce our upcoming concert being held at Trinity Church on Saturday, November 9th. It is a tribute to our Highway of Heroes and will honour our fallen. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds are going to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 Legion Poppy Fund. Please buy a ticket, come out for a wonderful evening of music and reflection and help support our Poppy Fund! We have a wonderful evening in store for you! We will remember them.

Three bands including Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums, Port Hope & District Pipe Band and the Navy cadet band will be performing as well as the Lindsay Rose Highland Dancers. Join us on Sunday, November 11th as we proudly escort our veterans to the cenotaph for the Remembrance Day service. The parade starts at 10:15 am at the Cobourg Legion on Orr Street.
