News Release: Cochrane Summerfest 2020 Cancelled Dear Cochrane Summerfest Fans, The health and safety of our community, visitors, artists, fans, staff, partners and volunteers is always our highest priority. The impact of COVID-19 continues as a risk for all large-scale events during 2020, and the provincial government has made it clear that large gatherings such as concerts, festivals and sporting events are not a reality for the Summer of 2020. As a result, it is with gre...at disappointment that we announce the cancellation of Summerfest 2020. We are deeply saddened that we are unable to celebrate living like a Northerner during Cochrane Summerfest 2020. We have been working hard to bring some new excitement to Summerfest activities, and Cochrane Summerfest 2021 promises to be an expanded celebration that only the North can throw. We would also like to share with you that we will be working on new health and safety protocols for any future events, which will continue to evolve as new guidelines are issued by public health authorities. These updated measures will continue to ensure that our events are safe and comfortable for everyone to attend. We will keep you informed of any updates and look forward to making Cochrane Summerfest 2021 even better than ever! Thank you for your support and understanding as we navigate through these difficult times. We look forward to the future where we can celebrate as a community.
