With Interest rates as low as they are, there is no reason for Banks to still be charging around 20% and if they indeed are going to give consumers a break over a few months, they should simply do so. Why would they ask clients to call in and make a request? TD and RBC are simply doing the reduction....Who do you bank with? Maybe it's time Credit Cards have a maximum amount they can charge over the prime rate? Banks should treat their costumers as clients not part of their profit margin!
