What does it mean to be a witness? In the Bible, the word witness is used to describe both a person and an actionsomeone who sees something and then talks about what they’ve seen. But what’s most interesting about the word witness is how it illuminates the story of Scripture, especially the role of the people of God. This video explores how this word contributes to the overarching story of the Bible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhcmzjwbvyk
Ever felt judged for being a Christian? This Friday we’re going to spend some time digging into the story of Stephen, finding out who he was and what happened to him. Read Acts 6:87:60 for this week’s YYA get together!
Starting Sept 13th to Oct 18th we'll be diving even further into the book of Mark but with a new focus!
Tomorrow at 8pm!
As we step back into our lives following our study of Ecclesiastes, we can put on the glasses that the teacher wore at the end of his life. That doesn’t mean we have to go around saying that everything is meaningless. But we should ask ourselves the question, Am I looking for purpose, meaning, or satisfaction from things that were never meant to fill those deep desires? It’s good to let the teacher challenge your false hopes and remind you that time and death make most of life completely out of your control, but what gives your life true meaning is the hope of God’s judgment, the hope that one day God will clear away all of the vapour and give true justice to your world - DESPITE the fact that you don't understand most of life's mysteries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrsQ1tc-2wk
