When possible, wait in your vehicle till you see there is no line to limit your exposure. And please be sure to follow the 6 foot social distancing - when approaching the food bank, if there are people in line in front of you. *** Masks are now mandatory and need to be worn when entering the food bank. If you do not have one of your own, we do have a limited supply that we can offer. With everyone's cooperation we can minimize your and our dedicated volunteers exposure. We’re all in this together

Please be aware that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a mass recall of eggs in Nova Scotia. Maritime Pride ( our supplier ) is one of the brands effected. Please check your fridges in case you have eggs affected by this recall. If in doubt - best to throw it out. The link below has all the details of the recall.

Anyone who has heard this saying knows the health benefits apples have on the body. Atlantic Superstore wanted to share those benefits with our neighbours in need. They recently donated 1300 pounds of apples to the Food Bank. Thanks to the Atlantic Superstore our new saying is: an apple a day, helps to keep hunger at bay.
