Of course we have heard and conversed about everything we've been told we can't do... now, let's take a breath and refocus as a community on what we CAN do. - A salon/spa/massage therapist/fitness facility can still sell retail products and gift certificates, which are excellent gift ideas. - SHOPS ARE NOT CLOSED: Occupancy is restricted, so call ahead to inquire about products or ask via messenger. Even order over the phone and pay at pickup or via credit card or e-transfer.... Or, be patient and enjoy the mild weather and a warm drink while you wait. - Forget about filling everyone's exact wish lists, and instead explore our local shops for things you never knew you never knew... - Found something cool/creative/impactful? SHARE THAT FABULOUSNESS AND LOVE! Tell someone, post it on your social media, let the RAVES loose! - If you're not keen on take out, restaurant gift certificates are a great gift idea (for yourself or someone else!) but also having someone else cook your lunch or dinner is a treat! Actions lead to impact. Share this post, add your own ideas, but most importantly PUT DOWN THE SHOPPING APP and shop smart. Shop Local. #lovelocallakeland See more

We regret to announce that, given the updated COVID-19 health restrictions put in place Nov. 24 by the Government of Alberta (including a ban on all indoor and ...outdoor festivals and events), the 2020 Cold Lake Santa Clause Parade will not be moving forward. The parade is an annual tradition enjoyed by many in our community, and while this news is disappointing, the decision was made with the health and safety of the people of Cold Lake and all Albertans, top of mind. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to continuing the tradition next holiday season. See more

The City of Cold Lake is aware of a Facebook post made on the YourAlberta page on November 16 stating that Cold Lake is now included in targeted COVID-19 health... measures banning indoor team sports, fitness classes, singing, dancing and performing activities. We have confirmed with Alberta Health Services that this post was made in error. These specific measures are currently in effect for larger urban centres and the City of Cold Lake is NOT included at this time. Please refer to this post for up-to-date information as it pertains to the City of Cold Lake: https://www.facebook.com/cityofcoldlake/posts/4882958438411080. More information about the targeted health measures and those communities affected, is available on the Government of Alberta website here: https://www.alberta.ca/enhanced-public-health-measures.aspx. We apologize for any confusion.
Launching today is our Holiday Light Contest! Members, be sure to decorate your business, take a photo and tag the Chamber on Facebook or email photos to [email protected]
