They are expanding the Canada Emergency Business Account so that, if your business spent between $20,000 and $1,500,000 in total payroll last year, it’ll now be eligible to receive a loan of up to $40,000. This loan is guaranteed by the government and can be used to cover operating costs and other immediate needs. And they are also planning on introducing the Canada Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance to help small businesses cover rent for the months of April, May, and June.
