To all Current, and Future, Toastmasters Due to the in person meetings being suspended, using existing technology and some innovating Toastmasters, an on-line way to stay connected is being tested! It's working wonderfully according to Cole Harbour Toastmaster Jennifer Bonnevie who has participated in an on-line meeting! See her comments below!... "I wanted to reach out and share my experiences this week with online Toastmasters meetings. Monday night I attended The Maine Thing's meeting with Andrew Lennark. Andrew was picked for a Table Topic!.There were 60 people online trying to learn about online meetings. Wow!! The meeting went very well! Everyone was enthusiastic and participated! They used cards for timing and had an agenda ahead of time. There were 2 speakers, table topics, evaluations, just like we do in person! Tonight was a smaller group. Schooner Toastmasters hosted a group of 22 people during their FIRST online meeting. In "group format" on ZOOM you could see all of your fellow toastmasters in little squares. Like the Brady Bunch! There were 2 speakers and Table Topics. I was picked this time! My point of sharing my experiences is: it's new, it's different, but WE"VE GOT THIS! I'm looking forward to our group learning the new skills needed to run and participate in an online meeting." Fantastic review!Thank you Jennifer! This on-line platform will be utilized successfully until in-person meetings can be resumed! Great work everyone!! See you at the next meeting!
