The little back girl I have dubbed "Beauty" (on account of her resemblance to the fictional black horse of the same name) trying to stand. Such will in these tiny creatures. I dont even want to stand right now.. :P

Busy long weekend on the farm. Building new goat stalls in the barn and watching turkeys parade around.
Surprise turkey poults this morning! I never know when my hens go missing if theyve been eaten or their sitting on a cluch somewhere.
Did you know that in nature pigs co-mother? We have 2 litters born over 3 days, and both mothers now share a nest (and an aunty) and take turns nursing all the babies. At night they sleep belly to belly with the babies tucked in between.

We have piglets! Finally our new boar has grown enough to do his job, and we have 4 new nature born piggies.

These babies are all super sweet and much mellower than a pb dairy breed. They have smooth , wavy and curly coats. Sire is a huge moon spotted nubian buck and does were all pb angoras.
We have hams!! New batch of pork in the freezer brings with it glorious Easter hams. We have all new cuts available of our fantastic Berkshire pork. The flavour and marbling is second to none. Free delivery in Duncan and Victoria on all orders over $30.

A few new babies this week.
Little man doing great with him mom.
So this happed not 30 min ago.Saw her running around yelling with two little feet poking out her back end. I didnt even think she was pregnant. She just had a kid this summer. Im new to this, there is lots to learn, and never assume your buck isnt on his game. Or that a doe that doesnt look pregnant, isnt. We got her in to the closest clean structure, our unused but cleanly hayed "duck house", and delivered this healthy little boy. Ron Burgundy and mom Rosemary are now in the barn with grandma Sophia and the rest of the ladies waiting.
First kids of the season! An adorable, but unintended cross of nubian and (mostly) angora. We welcome Zeldas kids Blue(m) and Monday (f).
A day of soap making. Description to come :)
