I spent some time today hardening and tempering a knife blank. I hope I got the temperature right this time and it ends up being durable. The one I made last year has held up and not broken after some pretty heavy use so fingers crossed.

I have got the prototype Coleman gas stove conversion done. It went on a trip this last week. I was assisting Geoff Horn of Prairie Summit shop teach a moving w...ater course up on Barker Lake Play area. The stove worked great I still have to make a couple of adjustments and tweaks to it. Any suggestions on what colour to paint it? When all closed up it holds two MSR Dragon Fly stoves and large fuel bottles plus all the mounting brackets. See more

I am happy to be heading upstream from Missinipe in early August to teach a Paddle Canada Moving Water course for Churchill River Canoe Outfitters If anyone has a group that would be interested in a private whitewater course August 10-14th for 1,2,3, or all 4 days please let me know. My teaching style of moving water instruction is oriented for canoe tripping and I would like to help others develop the skills that I have around rapids to expand the level of canoe trips you ...can paddle. If you are interested you can message me on FB or email me at [email protected] Picture is from the Seal River 2019, one of the many many rapids we enjoyed.
