Yet another show cancelled due to the inability to host an event with just 50 people in the building at a time.

We won't be returning to Centennial Hall with another London Collectibles Expo before the Spring of 2021. The Hall just isn't large enough to allow for both a reasonable number of vendors and social distancing.

In response to everyone that has called or emailed asking when shows will resume -- We feel that the limit on indoor gatherings must allow for 250 people to attend a show before we can safely resume running events. Even then, we would only resume shows during the pandemic in buildings that are 15,000 square feet or larger. Events like ours are considered to be "gatherings". Vendors, vendor’s helpers and customers are all included in the limit number concerning "gather...ings". In other words, if we were have 60 vendors at a show and those vendors were to bring a total of 40 helpers, we would be limited to just 150 customers in the building at a time if the limit on "gatherings" was to be increased to 250 people as has happened in Quebec. We want there to be more than sufficient aisle space available for the customers to easily maintain 6 ft. physical distancing. As long as physical distancing is in effect we will have 12 ft. to 15 ft. wide aisles and either a six ft. empty space or a large plexiglass divider to both the left and the right of each vendor's booth space. This will result in us having approximately 40% fewer vendor tables available to rent out per show. We won’t be increasing the regular admission fee when we return. However, we have considered adjusting our show hours and adding an earlybird time slot to our Nostalgia Shows for the more serious buyers but we are a long way from finalizing that decision. Our main concern is the health of our customers and vendors. We will take all steps necessary to make the shows as safe as possible before returning to running events.

An update: Ontario Collector Shows won't be running any shows in July or August. Our events are still shut down due to the limits on gatherings that are in effect because of COVID-19. We will resume running events when it is safe to do so.

We would like to thank Spiro and Danielle from the management team at Bingemans for meeting with us for an hour on Monday. The meeting gave all parties the chance to discuss how and when to proceed with shows after the current shut down of events ends. We will use the information from Monday's meeting to help us plan how to best resume shows once larger gatherings are allowed and it is financially viable to do so. We had met with the management of the Woodstock Fairgrounds earlier this month and we have also exchanged emails with the both the management of Centennial Hall in London and the management of the Ancaster Fairgrounds. We would like to thank the mangement team of the Woodstock Fairgrounds for meeting with us today. The meeting gave us several ideas on how to proceed with shows going forward. We will use the information gained today to help us get back up and going fairly quickly once larger gatherings are allowed and we are able to resume running shows. We will meet with Bingemans management on June 15th and that should give us some additional ideas. Ian & Jacqui. Ontario Collector Shows
