How can social workers balance Evidence Based Practice using their social work skills in a therapeutic setting? The primary thing to remember is balance. As trained professionals, social workers often use evidence-based practice alongside their many skills. While Evidence Based Practice considers the effectiveness of a treatment plan for a larger cohort, social workers should also consider their client’s values and social determinants in developing treatment goals alongside their client.
