For any athlete in a contact sport, it's ideal to have the baseline so it’s easier to coordinate rehab after you sustain a concussion and and so we know where you need to get back to afterwards. Baseline testing includes things like cognitive function, balance, brain function as a whole. Cognitive function can be the hardest symptom to rehab so knowing the baseline can be a key factor in the rehab process after sustaining a concussion.
